Big problem for me...

Hi I have a big problem with my game right now, I have tried to join a couple of lobbies that are set up for drag racing but when loading the message 'Error opening QUARTER_TIMING.mas file' I click ok and then the game closes...

Also I tried to install a car and the same thing happens although it's the texure that doesn't open so I end up with everything of the car except it's invisible...

Do the original cars and tracks work which came with rFactor?

I dont use Windows 8, so I'm not sure if it has the same protected access to the programs folder.
Only someone using Windows 8 can help you properly.
 
You didn't answer my question, so I installed Windows 8 on a spare computer and rFactor works fine. I didn't have to use admin rights at all.

Please provide download links for the mod and tracks you are trying to use, so I can try to replicate your problem.
