i was setting up rFactor and for some reason my petals wouldn't work. please help.

Some more information can help sometimes....

Which pedals?
Which wheel or just pedals?
How many controllers are connected to your PC at the same time?

i have a thrustmaster NASCAR pro racing wheel and my petals are the only thing that don't work. i can get the wheel buttons and shifter to work but no petals. i don't have any controllers. i do have a wireless mouse and keyboard but i plugged in a wired one. i fried unplugging it but it didn't help.

Do the pedals work in windows? (start/config screen/hardware/appliances/)

I don't know that wheel so i have to ask:
Is it a complete package "wheel with pedals"?
And how do you connect it?
Do you connect the pedals to the wheel and plug the wheel to the USB-port then?
Or do you plug the wheel into 1 USB-port and the pedals into another USB-port?

its a complete package that i plug the petals into the wheel. it is kind of out dated so i have to use a game port adapter.

Hmm, very strange, especially because it works with other games, like you say.

Which Windows Version do you use?

My last idea in this case, would be to suspect the driver.
If you use Windows 7, i would suggest to try the driver version 2.7.230 from THIS website.
It's for Vista 32/64 bit, but should eventually work for Windows 7 also.

But try/use it at your own risk. :)

Maybe that helps

thank you for your help. i will try these drivers and get back to you.

i tried the driver but it wouldn't except my wheel as compatible.

OK, because you know best which wheel you have, go to THIS site and get the matching driver.

And download it nevertheless, even if it won't support your Windows Version.

they don't have the driver for my wheel. they have the force feed back one but not mine.

I've seen that they have technical support by phone, maybe you try it that way.

i think i just cant use my pedals my dad told me he had the same problem

Try using DXTweak2.
You can change and fix windows calibration issues with this software.
No need to install it .............. just download DXTweak2 to your desktop and run it from there.
It should show all the axes ............ and allow you to change and/or fix calibration on any axis.
