Control spinner reflection

Is it possible to control the spinner reflection of the car without brighten up the Alpha Channel of the used texture?
The problem is the reflection of the car is to strong. I don't want remove the reflection, just want to make is very "decent".
 
If the Alpha channel is used for the reflection, i would say no, as long as you don't create new *.gmt's which include the wccarbody-material, change the material-settings into e.g. only cube reflection and a low blend-setting and let them show up only at spinner.
