ESC button doesn't work

I have a big problem. My ESC button stopped working. I tried some softwares to replace ESC with something else, it worked in Windows but not in any games. So I'd like to ask you guys if there's an option to change ESC in rFactor somehow?

I know but I have a notebook.. :\ a new keyboard is very expensive for this one
 
Is the keyboard programmable? If so, you could assign an end-application function to any button and just force-close.

Be careful though, if assigned it will end anything :)
 
Sometimes it's easy to remove the keyboard part.
Maybe you can try to clean the contact of the Esc button. (Depends on the design)
