Fanatec ClubSport Pedals v2 Mugen Shock Question

Spinelli

I just got a Mugen MBX7R (I'm assuming "R" stands for rear) shock from another fellow simracer. He passed me over the shock already assembled plus 4 extra parts. I have a few questions - accompanied by a picture (the picture is not mine - I found it in another thread here) - before fitting these to my CSP v2s. So...

A. That metal part (bushing??) is not connected, but was included in the bag. Am I supposed to connect that to the plastic part or leave it and not use it for our Fana CSP purposes?

B. That's another seperate part that was included in the bag. Am I supposed to be fitting that somewhere or don't use it?

C. That screw and the lock-nut that accompanies it, I'm quite sure we don't need to use it either, but can someone confirm?

D. I did not recieve this piece. Is it needed or recommended for our purposes?

Thanks guys!

A) Yes, though it probably makes zero difference.
B) Not sure - compress the shock and check for leaks. It could just be an extra seal, I'd think if it were already assembled it would have them in there for obvious reasons.
C) Not sure
D) It's the dust boot, not really needed unless you are planning on offroading your pedals. lol Would be nice just to keep things dust free, but probably not a big deal for our purposes.

Haha thanks EB. Ya, that extra o-ring just fits in the spring pre-load screw thing. I was told it's to stop it from spinning when used on actual RC cars and isnt needed for our use. I put it in anyways (my OCD having the best of me) and it definitely makes a difference; the spring preload screw is now much more difficult to spin - much more snug and secure - but to the point that it takes much more time and effort to make adjustments now. I should have just left it as it was much more free to spin before (but apparently still snug enough for our use).

Yup, don't need the protection boot and the screw and locknut.

The bushing rod-end thing, I figured I'd install it since even the stock Fanatec one had it installed, but after install I noticed that one side sticks out quite a bit while the other side doesn't stick out and is just flush (with the black plastic around it). I can't seem to press it in anymore so as to make both sides stick out equally, I tried pressing damn hard with needle nose pliers (with electrical tape covering the teeth so as not to damage anything). I'll eventually figure it out, lol.

Minor issues in the grand scheme of it all. Another issue, I need to grind down part of the Fanatec pedals or it'll be on the way of the shock's base (or end-cap or whatever it's called).

No as plug and play as I'd hoped, lol.
