G27...customizing settings

I purchased a G27 on Ebay & driver didn't come with it. I downloaded a driver online on my old cpu (XP) & it seemed to work fine. Finally upgraded cpu which has windows 7 & I'm having a tough time setting up the G27 in rfactor. It doesn't save my preferences( seat adjustments, look left & right etc..) Is it windows 7 or am I overlooking something?

Did you save the made changes in game into a new "profile" or do you just have assigned the buttons?

Maybe it's caused by the Windows User Account Control. Try it with running rFactor "as administrator" (rightclick on the shortcut and then choose the "run as administrator" option)
 
The G27 seems to cooperate now, but I seem to have another issue. When I select a car & a track, for instance a stock car at Joesville, I always seem to end up with OW car at Northamptonshire. Any idea why?
