horizon editing question

as u see horizon is receiving light at night... has anyone any advise please?

Normally this is set in the properties of the 3D-model.
I think the easiest way to change it will be to use the 3DSimEd, load the *.gmt (normally it is the skyboxi.gmt), and save it without activating "Lit at Night".

thx for replying. tried that but no luck. turned out that it was a fault in the scn file. horizon.gmt was under "horizon" instance, which from what i understand doesn't exist in rf?

If i remember right, somebody made a modified sky-object with the horizon in it.
May you've got a track that uses it.
Then you can try to load the meshfile(s) from the horizon-instance into 3DSimEd and save it without activating the "Lit at Night" option.

Now i know where the lightning comes from.
Seems as if the track uses the skybox from Neil Faichney.
It uses a nightlight for the illumination of the horizon:

So just delete the following lines in the *.scn file (or set two slashes in front of each of the 4 lines to deactivate them):

Light=NightLight00 // used only to activate horizon town light effect
{
Type=Omni Pos=(-223.159912, 11.439373, 12.055908) Range=(0.000000, 1.000000) Active=True
}
