Erm, I'm only learning myself.
I tried it about 18+ months ago, but didnt get very far and gave up.
About 1 month ago I found loads of tutorials on youtube and decided to have a go again.
I have 30+ hours experience this time around, unfortuneately 15 of those hours were trying to merge tracks together so when the car drove over the joins, it didn't flip the car over at highspeed.
Tips,
1. Make only the track surface first and make the AIW and test in rFactor. Better to find out you have a bad track section what the AIW cant drive over without crashing before you stick all the terrain and objects on.
2. Try to plan ahead avoid merging tracks by using the surface tool instead.
3. The AIW tool doesn't like crossover tracks, as its path it creates isnt elevation descriminate and tells the AIW to drive over the highest surface which is a pain if your going under a bridge or through a tunnel.
4. Any background image you import to trace around is best to be a perfect square in resolution, example 100x100, 512X512, 8000x8000. otherwise BTB will squeeze or squash the background image to make it square. BTB does give you options to reshape it, but you never know if it's correct afterwards.
5. Some XPacks dont work properly, I put crash barriers on a 6KM length track on both sides, and set it as collideable, but you can drive straight through it. Had to delete all the barriers and put the default ones on from the default XPack instead.
