iHUD for rFactor is an interactive HUD that simulates a real cockpit geared for players of rFactor. Includes reproductions of real cockpits: three sport cars, one Open Wheel car (F1, Indy... etc.).

You can see iHUD for rFactro working here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WH_BtO3O-yY&feature=player_embedded

It allows you to view High Definition Displays in your iOS device while you are playing rFactor. You can play rFactor in FULL SCREEN without having to play in windowed mode and without losing any FPS!!.
In iHUD for rFactor, the player can select any Display available, in real time while playing, and will have available some info like:
•RPM
•Speed
•Times:
o Best lap
o Best sector
o Current Lap
o Relative time with the car behind you and the car ahead you
•Oil temp
•Water temp
•Actual position
•A large etc!

It's available in two languages: English and Spanish and in Mph/Kph and Fº/Cº.

iHUD for rFactor can ONLY work with the correct Plugin installed in your rFactor. Download it from: http://www.mightygate.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/HUDforRFACTOR.zip

The large screen of the iPad and the quality of the retina screen are exploited to make the most of each screen and the player will enjoy each version of iHUD for rFactor, with cuasi-real Displays with very detailed HD graphics.

But there is one more thing!! V1.5 of iHUD rFactor will be soon available, you can customize your Displays with a very simple builder.

iHUD for rfactor V1.5 will be priced slightly higher than V1, but for early adopters of V1 will be a ¡¡¡FREE UPDATE!!!.

Any chance you could build this as a separate Windows compatible application as well?

I've got a 7" USB monitor I use for programs like iSpeed in iRacing, this program would be perfect if it was windows compatible.

I believe there are solutions for additional monitors.

As I bought v1.0, I'm looking forward for iHUD 1.5 which is announced to be skinable. I like motec-like view but current one is not readable good enough due to dotted fonts and waste some place for additional gfx (non functional buttons). In other words I would like to see motec-like display as large as possible, which will turn iHUD more usefull for small displays like iPhone.

Display lag, especially on analogue gauges should be managed too. I believe author will get rid of this.

best regards

SimMonitor do all of that and it`s free.

Google for Sim_monitor_2_8_4_0, is made by a japanese guy.

Hi!,
Thank You MaXyM,
We are working hard to eliminate all the Lags. Analogues gauges are not easy to animate soft without Lag, but in the Version 1.2 we have reduced the LAG so that is no appreciable.
Version 1.2 will be released this week and we hope Apple gives the OK next Week (we hope!! :)).
Thank you for your support!.
Regards

I created such a thing in the past : http://users.telenet.be/riptor/rfsh/
Includes a skin editor and all. Using 3rd party tools it can also be run on PSP, PDA, ...

Only problem is that it doesn't work on everyones Windows 7 or Vista. I think it doesn't work on 64-bit.

Some videos (all with skins created by the end users) :

@cero91 : Sorry to hi-jack your thread with my solution, but I think your 2 projects aren't competitors since the different target platforms. Anyway, nice job you did there, but I don't have an iPad/iPhone :)

iHud 1.1 released, to get from iTunes.
Lag has been removed. Now, it works like a charm.
I'm waiting for v1.5 :)

I can see v1.5 has been released.
Nice attempt to make it customized.
One thing I would ask for: LCD elements without frames. It would make possible to create own "motec" like display.

thank you for great app.
