Metallic effects

I know its possible to do this with 3d simed but I am struggling to find a proper reference to be able to go by. How do I make metallic effects in both rFactor and rF2 like this? I know u use spec maps but what setting in 3d simed do u use?

Did you try something like "Cube map add alpha reflect t1" shader for the wccarbody material, where the alpha has very small white sprinkles on almost black background, to simulate the metallic effect?
 
Still with that there is no way to do the metallic effects like in that video...
 
Where in the Video do you see a metallic effect?
Better show a video without rain or, much better, a screenshot of a car with the wanted effect in the Spinner, or in the game without rain.
 
OK, then i maybe misunderstood you.
When i read "metallic", i connect it with the paint of a car.

Or do you mean something like that shimmering effect of metal, like on this picture?
