It is public, or more precisely, it is open source so you can take the code, compile and run it yourself and even make changes if you want. I wrote most of the code. I have not advertised this, as I don't have a lot of time to support it. Instead, I've open sourced it so everybody can learn from it (if you can program). You can find it here: https://bitbucket.org/marrs/rfactor/ and it works for both rFactor 1 and 2. You can argue if you still need it in rFactor 2, because it supports rejoins, but this software allows you to reconfigure more things when a driver rejoins and, more importantly, also backups the standings every lap so you can even resume a race when the server crashes. We even had a case where, half-way a 24 hour event, the hosting provider we used came under a DoS (denial of service) attack and, based on the backup, we could resume our event on a completely different server. Anyway, if you have questions about it, get in touch!
can be done with rf 1 but you must set multiplayer right allowed driver swap and join server as spectator and swith car in the pit with someone that after switch get spectator
but if you not set spectator you can not join any online server when it is race .. as it works with rfactor 2
