Need a little help

I need help. I just bought a G27 wheel and it came with Rfactor. I play a lot of racing games and have heard a lot of good things about it. It's only the trial version, but if I like it I'll buy it. Well, I have no ffb until I leave the garage. Once I leave it's good until I shift to 2nd, at that point I lose it. Also, once I get to 49 mph the car won't go any faster. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Make sure all the driving aids are off, and the pit lane speed limiter ;)

Realfeel also makes the feel of your wheel like night and day.
 
I wouldnt base my rfactor experience from the mods that are in the trial, they are somewhat feeble to the mods you can download for the full game.
