Negative SpringBase values

LesiU

Because tyre radial stiffness does not increase linearly with pressure (especially at low pressure range) and rF only provides linear changes, to get good stiffness changes in usable hot pressure range I have to provide high SpringkPa and keeping total stiffness at proper level, I have to put negative SpringBase value.

Will rF be working fine with such negative SpringBase values or there could be some issues at specific situaltions?

Never tried it out but there may be some weird effects in case of puncture.
When that happens I'm not sure if rfactor lowers corner ride-height to match rim diameter (as if there was no tyre), it sets pressure to 0 and gets SpringBase to compute ride height or if it drops pressure from hot inflated to 0 progressively. If it's the last, I wouldn't be there when spring rate is 0, spacetime might collapse ;)

That's why I hope someone from ISI could tell how risky is that approach :)
