PCC GB 2009 won't allow season

Hi i've installed the PCC 2009 gb mod and all seems to work except when i try to run a season it says vehicle required when i try to create it.
I can do a race weekend and testing but no season anyone got any suggestions?
Not sure if i need to open anything up with progress through the other seasons or not as i haven't been playing the game long?
Game is activated etc

May be you forgot to purchase a car?

Customize--->Vehicle

"Buy Car" button
 
tried that but i already have one, even sold it a bought another one still no joy?
