Pnematic Trail and Self Aligning Torque

silente

Hi all!

I hope you guys can help me to understand how the Self Aligning torque calculation work in rF.

I know the meaning of the parameter "PneumaticTrail" and how it is used to calculate tire pneumatic trail in game at 0° Slip angle, but i don't know how then the pnaumatic trail can be calculated for non 0 Slip Angles (for a certain load).

In his guide, Bristow only says something vague about this.

My understanding is that when Slip Angle then increases, Pneumatic Trail grdually reduce.

This is also shown in Carfactory where it also seems that Self aligning torque never gets equal to zero, also at very high Slip Angles (and this means that Pneumatic Trail is never zero as well).

Does anybody knows how the pneumatic trail at a certain SA and a certain vertical load (or also at a certain camber, if it also has an influence on this) can be calculated?

ISI?

Thanks!
