Port forwarding

HI I HAVE OPENED THE PORTS ON MY FIREWALL AND MY MODEM. every time i create a game it dosnt let me race. where it says race is blank i load an AI i can watch it. WHY CANT I C MY CAR TO RACE AND PRESS THE RACE BUTTON I DONT HAVE?????????? i select my car my track and i cant play im new to rfactor just want to know wat im doing wrong ?????? HELP PLEASE:( i go to connect then settings do a host test it SAYS could not detrmine the staus of your connection

Search for the lan ip and connect to that, not the external ip. If it is on the same machine, connect to localhost or 127.0.0.1
 
m8 im a dumby when it comes to pc so dont know wat u really mean i had links sent to me to do that and dont think i opened the lan ports onmodem sry m8 can u pls help
 
Make sure Spectator Mode isn't enabled. It's listed in the Multiplayer settings.
