Every time when i go to join mp it says games are unavailable and says update started but never does anything???????????????

Follow the instructions in the firewall guide located in your rfactor/support folder.
Also see if you can even ping the matchmaker server "match.rfactor.net"
Open a DOS prompt in Windows and type in
ping match.rfactor.net
and press enter. See if there is any loss.

How do u check that?
Just to clarify if the windows firewall of, I asume u got Windows 7, isn't a part of your problem try: net stop MpsSvc at the command prompt. net start MpsSvc restarts your Windows 7 firewall again. Or just do a reboot.
