Problems maping controls

I just purchased rFactor and I am having a problem mapping the controls for my G27. rFactor recognizes the controller but when I try to highlight/select any control with the left mouse button it atomically assigns itself to Joy1 B9 and I cant change it. Can someone please help me with this?

I had this a while ago, turned out it was my tablet pen overriding controls. i unplugged the tablet out and it was ok again.

see if you got any control-device plugged in and take it out. reset wheel and hopefully its ok again.
 
Hahaha.. The thing that has gotten me several times is my shifter will be in gear which overrides everything.
