problems with reinstalling game with disc

I had some work done on my computer and need to install rfactor. When I insert the disc the startup box comes up. After I click on it
I get the message asking if I want to run the program. After I click yes on this basically nothing happens. Would apprecite any help on what I should look for or what I need to do. Rfactor is my all time favorite racing game.
 
Im having the same problem and mine is also saying incompatible application...Can anybody help fix this??
