Question about Rally World mod

I found this mod only yesterday and I'm stunned how big it is - it's gigantic I'd say. So far I managed to download only the base mod (1.6GB) and would like to test it but I'm not sure how to install it? Should I install it just like any other mod or maybe it's better to install it separately (onto fresh rF install)?
 
Its probably an exe? its likely to show in your windows/programs utility, so easy to uninstall that way.

If a zip, basically the same, when you need to uninstall all you do is check the zip again and see what folders/files you need to delete to uninstall the mod.

Tracks, if any, you can keep btw. don't need to uninstall them as well unless you want to get rid of them.
 
Yes, it's exe (the base mod at least, don't know about all the addons) and AFAIK it doesn't include any tracks (but I may be wrong). But I'm not concerned about uninstalling it - I'm not sure if this mod shouldn't be installed same way as HGT&TC mod (recommended istallation)? The standard installation is not recommended by HistorX because of:

If you prefer, you can install this mod – just as any other mod – within your main
rFactor folder, sharing the same configuration, tracks, etc. with all mods.
This installation method is not recommended though. While the HGT&TC mod will
work this way, you will have to restart rFactor every time you change from another
mod to play HGT&TC, as the user interface is not loaded automatically when you
change mods. Other issues may appear also as result of sharing the same rFactor
folder.

So I'm not sure it the same doesn't apply to Rally World mod?
 
I see what you mean and yes, some mods are better left alone. (rf can get somewhat unstable with many things installed, huge mods like this one wont help either in just the one rf)

You can have as much rf installs as you like, and adding tracks to this install is easy with a simple drag and drop from you main rf into the other rf.
Same for your userdata folder.

Thank you for your reply. I'll install Rally World as separate mod just to be on the safe side;)
 
Let us know what you think once you get it running iirc there are some nice long tracks in that mod.
