rFactor and fanatec clubsport wheel recognition

I have a new fanatec clubsport wheel - rfactor 2 recognises the wheel but rfactor does not - any ideas? Shows up in HID but unable to map buttons in rFactor it automatically defaults to button 19 and will not let me map any other button.

Does it work as it should in rF2?
If not it sounds like a stuck button or something...
 
I run a Fanatec CSR, it was not recognised by RFactor but I think I was able to map all functions using a custome setup and it works well.
 
My CSW is working perfectly with rfactor1?

Sounds like button 19 is stuck down?
 
Works fine for me in rF1 although I have a problem with the v2 with the clutch pedal only getting half travel. Try seeing if the wheel registers after turning the wheel several times in one direction. When I first tried it, it took a few turns of the wheel to notice it working.
