Rfactor suddenly lags out

I had a problem earlier. I was doing a test for my AI series on Sunday, and rfactor suddenly started lagging. It kept lagging and lagging and lagging until finally it couldn't take it anymore. Not sure what was the issue, cos all was fine until then, and I didn't have this issue say 2 weeks ago. The only thing I've installed since then is LiveRacers. Does that have anything to do with it?

I'm thinking it might be caused when I fast forward as the issue occurs mostly when I do that
 
More evidence to support this is that all 3 practices and qualifying went without any issues, hope the race does tomorrow
