rFactor - Win 8.1 (Fullscreen Issues)

So for the last hour I have tried running the game in 1920x1080 FullScreen modifying the config.ini file, rFconfig etc. but whatever I do it has a black boarder around the outside of my screen.

I have no issues with rFactor 2 as I have tried copying my graphical settings but had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

P.S sorry for the double thread, didn't realise I somehow accidentally posted it twice!
 
I'm running rFactor on a Windows 8.1 laptop with no problems. Right click on your rFactor icon and go into properties. Set the compatibility to Windows 7 and as an administrator. Mine works now without a hitch.
 
I too run rFactor1 at 1080P, I'm on a TV (1920x1080).

When you say you get a border, are you saying the game runs in a window?
Are you in a windowed mode? >>>> windowed mode is a setting in rFconfig.

Are you by chance running the game on a TV, and if so, are you plugged into the hdmi connection, or, the 15pin computer connection?
