Serious MP problem

Whenever I try to connect to a server, no matter what mod, it will connect, show the player list at the top, but at the bottom right the replay screen is blank. This is quickly followed by getting taken straight back to the main menu, with a message at the bottom saying "replay saved". What is happening? Greatly appreciate help.
 
If you aren't getting any message in the chat window of a mismatch etc, post a screenshot of the contents of your rfactor folder.

Try creating a clean install of rfactor into a new clean folder (e.g. "rfactor clean") with no mods/addons/plugins and testing from there using only the default content (selecting a server running only default content).
