TBC file

TJT24

Can I find the TBC file on the actual Rfactor game or where do I find it?

You ask because of THIS thread right?

Every mod has it's own *.tbc file(s).

For example the *.tbc -files of the BOZ you can find here:

[Your rFactor Folder]\GameData\Vehicles\BozSC\BozSC

There are 2 *.tbc files: BozSC2010AI_tyres.tbc and BozSC2010_tyres.tbc

You can simply open and edit them with a normal text-editor.

But remember what Mangoletsi told you, if you edit these files, you get mismatches when joining online servers.

I went to all the things you have said and it brought me to a screen full of numbers like .973592 and what do I do with these?

Take the red pill

Hello, sorry was busy earlier today and couldn't answer you.
In the file your looking at, scroll down to the bottom, and you should see something like this.

Increase the AIGripMult value until the cars stop spinning. I used 2.07, and they were starting to behave themselves.
It will take a lot of trial and error until you find the right values.

Good Luck

:)

It will not let me edit it and am I supposed to download anything or just go on internet?

No, you dont have to download anything or go on the internet. What you are trying to do is correct.
The problem I think your having, is because your using Windows 7 or Windows 8, and the UAC is blocking you as it's trying to protect the files. I'm not using Windows 7 or Windows 8, so I'm not sure if you have to login as admin or disable UAC to make the changes. Maybe someone else can answer this part.

To "deactivate" the UAC on a longer existing windows installation can cause issues with other software.

So better try this way:
- go to start/all programms/accessories
- make a rightclick with the mouse on the editor and in the opening contextmenu choose "open as administrator"
- now open the file, make the changes and save it

does that work?

But it really will be a long way to find the working values.
I've just tested to change all AIGripMult values from 1.xxx to 2.xxx but it didn't change anything.

The AI still messes around. :D

I have windows 8 so I don't have the accessories tab?

Then use the file-explorer and move into the windows folder. Then into the subfolder (if it exists in Windows8) system32.
Here you should find the notepad.exe.
If it's not there, use the search-function to find it.
Now make the rightclick on this one and choose "open as administrator", open the *.tbc file, change it, save it, open it again to see if the changes have been saved.

I finally found the folder but I don't have an option to "open as administrator". Every time I open the TBC folder it takes me to the internet.

I finally found the folder

Which folder do you mean?

but I don't have an option to "open as administrator".

What did you try to open as administrator?
I hope it was not a folder.

Every time I open the TBC folder it takes me to the internet.

What do you mean with "TBC folder"?
And when trying to open a folder starts the Internet Explorer, there must be something completely wrong linked.

Sorry when i ask, but i have to do it.

How much do you know about how a computer works in general and especially from the work with folders and files?

For me it looks as if you will crash your machine soon, when you go on trying to increase the AI behaviour of the mods, you are using.

Normally it takes 5 minutes to change a file in that way you have to do it.
But here days are gone and you couldn't even edit a file.

Maybe you better stop your plan.

I don't know a lot about this computer because I just got it about 2 weeks ago. I did figure out how to change it but after I get everything changed and hit "save" it asks if I want to over write the "tbc folder" and I hit yes. After this it says access denied.

Where do you have a "tbc folder" from?????

And you don't have to change a folder, the things that you have to change are files.
Like i posted sooner they are called "BozSC2010AI_tyres.tbc" and "BozSC2010_tyres.tbc" and they are normal text files, that can be edited with the default windows texteditor.

You have posted this before:
I went to all the things you have said and it brought me to a screen full of numbers like .973592 and what do I do with these?

That shows that you had the right file opened.
If you can do that again and when it's open, scroll down to the almost end of the file.

There you will find the lines (there are a few) which start with: AIGripMult=

And now change all the values that stand behind the =, into a higher one.
Maybe you can start with 2.07, like Mangoletsi suggested.

It should look like this AIGripMult=2.07 when it's done.

And when it's done and you just close the file, you will be asked if you want to save the changes.
Answer with yes and normally it should be done then.

I don't think that you need special rights for editing a textfile.
But maybe i'm wrong because the windows UAC is one of the the biggest bullsh***'s i've ever seen.

Sorry also i would like your help . My mods dont pitting . Which is the number can i change for to wear fast ai cars ?

What does "my mods" mean?

Are that Mods that you have created?

There can be different reasons why AI cars don't pit.
Hard to answer without having the mod.

I boight it 5 eur from united racing designer

In this case i can't help you out, sorry.
I don't buy content in principle.
