Won`t work with 3 Screens...

I had a R9 270X in my Rig (1 Screen/1920x1080) and i was not very pleased. After i replaced it with a Nvidia GTX 980, rF2 is running very smooth.

//Edit: from my Experiences, even a PC is branded as "Gaming bla bla bla", it`s not good, just expensive ;)

Thanks Jurgen, just started the shopping process. wont be jumping in too quickly.

For RF2 you want more memory buffer with gpu to run triples 4gig min. Good cooling from case and very important CPU cooling.
Suggestions: antec df85 case, plus cpu cooler H1oo will fit in case. The rest is good but i don't like AMD. i7 perfect, Z77 MOB, 700/ 900 series card.

Thanks Coops. Im running a 4gb HD5700 card atm and its amazingly good for such an old superseded card , never had issues with ATI/AMD in the past but I do take in what I read about the Nvidia stuff so well open to options. Cheers. The 3 monitor set up will be well down the track but getting a machine that will be capable with modification eventually is my aim .

Check my specs: I run RF2 with no probs good FPS. I built mine got most parts off ebay 1st time builder was not that hard. TRY IT. Triples you will never look back.

Thanks again Coops, but how do I see your specs?? and btw Soft Plastics as in fishing? South Coast ? Port Mac??

PCCaseGear sell a great range of well built pre-assembled PC's as well as supplying all the best bits to build it yourself. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php...h=1411&zenid=2083f1ca8aee09196fec8e3e3fd84c81

These systems listed in the above link are sans monitor, keyboard & mouse but those peripherals are easily selected and added. I've never bought one of their pre assembled systems, but going by their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pccasegear which showcases plenty of customer builds I don't have any doubts choosing them would not result in regrets.

ps. I have built a total of 6 gaming systems for myself and my kids using parts sourced from them over the last 10 years.

I would spend $1100 on Processor, Motherboard, Memory and Graphics Card

(i5-4690 + GTX970 OC = 800 )

save up another 300-400 for the rest.

Can't someone build for you?

Sucks the aussie dollar makes components so dear

I have a 965 BE 4 core processor running at standard 3400mhz 16 gig of low speed ram and a mid range m/board and a 4 gig R9 270 vid card with 3 x 24 inch cheapo ( approx. $150 each ) monitors and as you know, it runs my RF2 without a problem and is even better with the new multiview update.

Just hunt around for best prices, there's an MSY in Geelong so see what they can do for you, they will put it together if you're not confident in doing it yourself, even menace might be able to help lol.

Don't know anyone can help ? have a spare copy of W7 laying around ? ( lots have gone to W8 )

That saves you almost 200 bucks to start can strengthen components

I have helped heaps of people build / upgrade there PCs.

I show them how and why, then make them do it, they go on to help others and so on and so on.

Bwana take Durge up on his offer to help you build . You will never look back and like he says you will learn and can pay it frwd by helping some1 else. Thats what it's should be about helping ppl out if you can.
KNOWLEDGE KEPT IS KNOWLEDGE WASTED.

pmsl !! If he built it ,it would crash for sure.. Was on that site this morning fats costs added up about the same but then needed building . Changed motherboards and GFX cards a few times and reckon I could probably do a build myself without to many issues.. Will go have a chat to them tomorrow.

Except fishing holes Coops ;) .. Retired charter skipper here ;)

I sure you can.

Good table and lamp , torch, medium sized phillips head, plastic container for screws and stuff ( tackle box tray is handy) Pack of cable ties differing lengths.

Download all relevant latest drivers and motherboard manual before delivery or pickup , read every page of motherboard manual
especially bios settings and ask anything you do not understand.

When you ready to build try to have 8 hours free lol ( average build time is a hour )

Make a thread the day before, get online with another PC, does not matter how long it takes. ;)

If you give parts list before hand we can do pics to help.

Me same way all the time.

Tower both sides panels off, lay on side , fit motherboard back plate , fit and check motherboards stands , test fit PSU for wiring and length and path.

Test fit motherboard, check where the case fans and front panel wiring hook up and which way the wiring will run, etc.

Cup of coffee and a good think about things.

Onward !

hehehe

*You will feel great after having built your own custom machine.

Pretty well says it all. ;)

Wow what a difference. simple to do and transformed my game. My default fps check track is sileverstone and normally with mid to high settings and 10 visible cars at the start I would get choppy fps from 15 to 25 at best . this is what Im getting now. amazed. 66 FPS at start and then averaging between 110/150 for the race

Increased ram 2 x8gb(16gb) AMD sapphire R9 280 3gb oc. coolmaster G700 =$505 Aus total.

time for a new monitor. Back to saving up

btw can run reflections on high but dropped to 50fps at start so bearable but wanted to max out my 60hz screen

I'LL prob get told off again for saying it but if you want to play the top SIMS or GAMES of the 21st century you must keep up with PC specs to get the best results. I don't mean yr in yr out.

I agree, now that Ive seen for myself the difference it makes to have higher end gear. will test a couple of extra monitors I have laying around(60hz) to see if this machine can handle or whether to go a 144hz single , Being 3gb the card may not but if I can get 60fps with some minor setting changes I may . In the meantime Im loving what I have now.
