tire instead of team names?

is it possible to fill the category "tire" instead of team names? please tell me how, thakn you

ive replaced the file under X:\rFactor\UIData, but it doesn't work
 
I'm no expert but i think this is done in the mod itself.
we've done teamnames in our league once in the GP79 mod and it required a mod-update. how that was done i dont know but maybe you need to check files like hdv/veh/etc. with notepad.

As soon as you change these files you will not be able to use the changed mod online anymore, unless you are using a server that has the same files.

But as said, no idea how to do it. i did quickly check the files of a mod but could not find it.

Backup your original files when you start experimenting!!

I actualy found that update from 2009. apparently its in the veh files but it seems allot more complicated then that.
But we also included allot of other stuff like skins to the mod so i'm pretty sure there quite some stuff that shows in our files that doesnt need to be there if you would only want to have teamnames.

This is the update to the GP79 mod we used to display teams and in which division they belonged:

And you can see that even those where devided into generic and registered teams/divisions.

Anyways, not my cup of tea but maybe you can get something out of it with looking how it was done for our league.

Hopefull someone else can post here stating there is a much easyer way to do this :)
