Tire Sounds too low.

The tire sounds are too low. I looked up how to increase them but even after modiifying the plr file the sounds are still way to low. I have my volume maxed out, on my computer and headphones and if the engine volume is above 15% it makes hearing the tires difficult, which makes getting a feel for the car hard.

I like the tire sounds in gt5 and would like them in rfactor to be simular to that, where I can distinstly hear the tires and also the engine.

Also can someone explain exactly what the following variables do, in terms of how changing the input changes the result in the game.

I can't remember which ones I changed but I had the same problem with one of the mods in my game. I really needed to be able to hear the tyres scrubbing so I edited the PLR file to these values.

Pretty sure those are the default values Blaktop.

I would just adjust the VolMult figures for scrubbing and skidding - taking out a 0 or two (0.0006xxxx -> 0.06xxxx for example) in each should give a noticeable change (maybe too much; give it a go). There shouldn't be any need to adjust the Freq(uency) settings.

If you find a particular mod/car has unbalanced sounds, you can edit its .sfx file to adjust individual effects without getting any mismatches.
