Trouble with mods

Hi all. Im new to Rfactor and I need some help. I have recently tried to download some car mods and tracks. When I got to copy and paste the file to the Rfactor data to install it to the game, it says "0 bytes of space on rfactor" and then it says "space needed 10.1 MB" or something like that. So I switched computers and it does the same thing! Someone please help me. I have Version 1.225. Maybe I need to download a patch or update? This is making me mad. I have been trying to do it for weeks. It also asks me to burn the tracks to a disc since there is no space. I am using win.rar and Windows Vista. Thanks in advance.
 
You're trying to save the files to your CD/DVD?

Paste the files into the folder that rFactor is installed in - probably on DriveC. Not on the DVD/CD that install the game (which it sounds like you're doing).
