I have just installed rFactor with wine, and it is going good so far.

I don't think you're going to get much support for that here. Might want to do some google searches for rFactor running with Wine.

rFactor uses DirectX. Linux uses OpenGL. You probably need to figure out how to install DirectX in Wine.

People run rF on OSX under some WINE fork. So I am sure it is posible on Linux with a little research.

Still trying to figure out a solution for this. Have been working with wine and since I am able to run rFactor setup in wine, DirectX comes with that, so I have installed it, multiple times, still to no solution and I keep getting the hardware. Experimented with some drivers and followed this guide: http://www.dedoimedo.com/games/wine-directx.html
Still, nothing. Has anyone been able to run it in linux, many people to my knowledge have had the same problem I do and there still is no solution.
