hello,

is it possible to to choose the color of a material and not of a .gmt?

- example 1: I have 3 types of rbumpers, and any type has a different pairs of mud flaps.. is there a way to choose only the color of mud flaps and not their .gmt? because they are part of the rbumper.gmt

- example 2: I choose my rbumper.. if I want to choose even the color, I have to add a .gmt for any color?

If you want to have it selectable in the Upgrades, you'll have to add different gmt for different looks.

And if the rbumper uses the wccarbody material, you could remove the mud flaps from it and create own gmts with different colors out of them and add them as an own Upgrades Option.
 
ok so the answer is 'no, there is no way to select the color by the upgrades, just the wccarbody material skin is selectable. any other color needs a .gmt file'
