I have an rFactor disc labeled v1.150 along with an unlock code that I think came with hardware, likely a video card. Can v1.150 be upgraded to the current version or do I need to purchase the current version.

but you need the update for the CD/DVD Version, the update for the trymedia version will not accept your cd/dvd

The 1.150 CD version is actually just the download version on disc with a coupon code, so installing the 1.255 'F' DVD update would actually screw up the install (since it would be looking for a DVD).

Just download the 1.255 full installer from the downloads page of rfactor.net.

However, I've never heard of a code coming with any hardware for "free". Only the demo being on disc being included with hardware. But either way, if you have a coupon code that has never been used, it should work fine.
