Video Driver Problems

I just recetnly put bootcamp on my macbook pro and installed windows 7 on it. The I downloaded rfactor and everything isfine except for the fact that whenever i go to pay rfactor it says that there is no DirectX 9.0c video adapter and it wont let me play. what do i need to do?

Google is your friend, found this thread, read the last post first to see how the fix (for this person) was innitiated before going into installing 9.0c

Windows 7 doesn't include DirectX9. You have to install it separately. You can download that here:

i tried downloading that link and once it has downloaded and run, at the end of its installtion it says that there is a equilvalent or more recent version already installed. Is there a adapter i have to download so rfactor can run on a newer version of DirectX?

There is no way to get rFactor to run on DX11. Sounds like DX9 isn't properly installed. There must be a way to force it to reinstall. I will have to read up on it.

Just a thought... what video card is in your Mac and did you install the latest drivers?

To reinstall DX9 in rFactor -> rFactor\Support\DirectX\Install\DXSETUP

On my Mac its NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and I have all of the current software updates installed
