Which ATI driver(s) recommended for rf1?

I'm using the latest ATI drivers (4/5/12) with my HD 6850 and rf Config.exe only crashes. Which drivers are other ATI users running? Thanks...
 
I have a 7970 but I found I was getting crashes with all the new drivers, I rolled back to the original 7970 release version and haven't had a problem since. Try catalyst 11.12
 
i using catalyst 12.4 no problems on rf1/rf2 v90 on a ati hd 6950 (1gb)

For me, rf Config.exe is crashing on 12.4, so I guess I'll try an older 11 version. Thanks...
 
Crashes on 11.12, too. My directx is up to date, and everything but rFactor still works fine. Strange.
