rFactor FPS Fix + Dynamic Hud

Henry Kelsall

Hi there folks,

I have had to install the FPS Fix to my rFactor and it works fine but it doesn't allow me to use the Dynamic HUD anymore. My FPS is awful without the fix, so is there a d3d9.dll for both or another file or trick that allows you to use both? Many Thanks,

Henry

If both reference to the d3d9.dll and there is no possibility to rename one of the both dll's and reference to the renamed one, i fear the answer is "No".

Okay, thanks. I was wondering though, I have recently upgraded my PC and on my older PC, with the same graphics card you see here, less ram and a slower processor, the game worked fine without the FPS fix (it was 32 bit to) yet on my new PC, it can't handle the game without the FPS fix. Any idea what else I can do to fix it, and why this might be the case? I've uploaded my specs in the picture

Did you try the "usual" things like

- set the windows UAC to the lowest level
- run rFactor as Administrator
- use the 4GB RAM Patch for the rFactor exe file
- add the "+fullproc" tag to the Target-line in the Shortcar with that you start rfactor

i'm sure i forgot something but try these things out, it can only get better :)

Your Specs seem to be more than enough to make rFcator run with good+ Framerates, i would say.

Unfortunately none of these worked :(

Really strange.
Do you have this problem with all mods/tracks?
Do you get better Framerates when you lower some settings like shadow-quality and/or own car details?

Think I fixed it...I edited the PL to give maxframerates=60, its slow on the menu still but fine in game :) hopefully that's sussed it

As long as you don't have a slide show...... :).
But 60 FPS should be OK.

By the way, wasn't the FPS Fix just working for NVidia Cards?
I ask because you have an AMD Card listed in your Specs.

Its quite good now, I don't mind stuttery menu's, in the game all is fine and the menu is only in the showroom, when I get the issues that is :) and yeah it was but it works with AMD to but I did still have a bit of lag, the editing of the PLR works well :) Cheers for the help by the way!
