Bump map gets low res after loading the track

Hey guys.

I saw that the hq mods using .tga as bump maps, so i tried it and i really get better results. In the showroom it looks excellent. But when i load the track it looks like this:

And when i get back to the showroom its now the same low res one!
Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I already tried different normal map settings on the PS export, but i dont understand why its in the showroom perfect and after loading the track its so messed up!?

I tried to use a bump map from another car (reizas f1 v12 car) and its the same problem. So its not a texture problem. I exported the shape already with max AND with 3dsimed, but it doesnt mather! Thats so an ugly and weird problem, does anybody have an idea?
 
Just for a try: set all texture files (color, spec, bump..), that are used as the default textures for the wccarbody-material, to the same size as the skin has.
 
it doesnt work but thanks anyway. I found a solution. I exported it as a 1.5.5.5 dds and now it works perfect and loads even faster then the tga file. But the bump is now 21mb :D however, it works!
 
21 MB is not the wanted size for just 1 single texture right? :D

Can you post your NVidia exporter settings for the texture that don't works?
 
Yes, these settings i have meant. But the ones from the texture that didn't work.
But to be able to seriously test it here, i would need all textures that you use for the material and the material-settings too.

But anyway, i just think that also a smaller file should work, because they work on other mods too.
And maybe i think old-fashioned, but i would always prefer to use the smallest possible file, to be easy on the system-resources. :)
 
dds wont look good on any mod i know, thats why every good mod uses TGA like CTDP or Reiza. However, it works fine, i have no problem with the big file :D
