G27 won't stay in gear

I have a g27 wheel and I choose the g27 in the control settings. When I go into the game and place it in gear it goes into gear and then instantly goes back to neutral. I am using the paddles to shift with. What do I do?:(

Expected you to be using the shifter, since you often need to change a setting for it to work correctly... paddles should work fine as far as I know. Silly question, have you turned automatic gears off?

And I would also add is your H shifter in a gear make sure it is in N.

Hello all, this is my first post so please be gentle.

I am also having this problem, I have to say however, I am only using the demo disk I got with my G27 so no patches applied or anything. I would like to resolve this issue before I go ahead and buy the full rFactor game. I have defiantly calibrated in neutral. I am using the shifter not the paddles. The trans jumps out of gear every second or so, The shifter does not physically jump into neutral its in software. ie the gear is still physically in first but on the screen it is in neutral. Any ideas, do you think if I buy the full version and patch this problem will be resolved? any help very much appreciated.
