Mouse changes + all prioritization changes disabled:

The crash you had with the Nashville level might have been because of the random instability I mentioned earlier.

The other tracks and cars appear to be incompatible with with Cart.exe. You could examine the HQ Rendition tracks to see what exactly's different. I think it's related to texture sizes.

If icr2 has hardcoded limits for texture sizes, maybe the game binary could be hacked to overcome the limitation. I know a guy who could help, but he's out of action for 6 months.

Anyone trying this and having crashes, try setting
[SDL]
Priorities=lower, lower
In dosbox-rendition. Cfg in %localappdata%/dosbox. This should be created after running dosbox-rendition the first time.

Should improve performance, reduce CPU load and be a bit more stable in Nascar 2. ICR2/CR2 high quality textures disappearing textures should be fine now with high detail mirrors. The sky still disappears with low mirrors. Nascar 2 should be stable, Nascar 1999 not so much (both with messed up displays).

[EDIT] and CR2's menus should be much faster. That applies to pretty much anything with a menu (V_FIFO_ MEM_WRITE_SPRITE/VL_MemWriteSprite().

Here's the build used in that video:

You'll need a C:\temp folder for some log files. RReady (the actual wrapper uses %localappdata%\temp).
Dosbox extracted into a fixed folder. Run RLauncher and add Dosbox in the Win Apps tab (unless it's already there, in which case copy dosbox into the existing folder). Run Dosbox from RLauncher (by hitting the launch button).

It should work and perform a lot better now.

- I believe you are already aware of sometimes the sky doesn't show up or it disappears.
- Complex carsets are not loading - I tried a couple that Pavel had posted on his folder recently. Again, this may be attributable to the fact that most mods have not been tested with the Rendition game.

Here are some custom tracks I tried:
Detroit 1991 by me (https://icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1330&pid=13136#pid13136) - "Problem loading track"
Indianapolis 1992 by Pavel (https://icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1419) - "Insufficient memory to load track"
Meadowlands by Pavel works except for the texture issue I highlighted above.
Nashville by me (https://icr2.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=1355&pid=11743#pid11743) - it works until the game crashes along the return trip across the bridge
The Lola1990 and Reyn1996 carsets do not load - error message is "Not a valid carset"
How'd you get the Meadownlands track to load? I get an "Insufficient memory to load track."

The error is reported by the game long before it's passed on the Verité board, so the binary will have to be hacked to support it.

Not a simulation and not racing but:

Rebel Moon chroma keying and HUD works perfectly now (well apart from ringing at font edges):

Dosbox is now integrated with RLauncher and can be launched and configured from within RLauncher. This is the recommended way of running Dosbox-Rendition. The store based version will always update dosbox-rendition and dosclient with the latest and greatest.

-Massive changed to Rendition register implementation. I hope this improves stability.
- Lots of other internal changes. Please check to see if whatever you play is stable.
- Rebel Moon chroma keying fix.
