Internet thread: Just fun!

This looks like a perfect life simulator!:D As a kid I was jealous to my friends living in contryside. It was like getting to a amusement park when visiting there. driving cars and doing all kind of stupid things. Good memories :)

Kind of reminds me of Postal. Only less pointless violence which is good imo.

Never knew Kimi Raikkonen made games :D. joking. Looks fun. The guy did a lot of stuff for rfactor 1. He was around here at the start of rFactor2's life teasing us with pictures of his 'Chase USA' mod but was never released. Not sure the reason, think he had a bit of bother getting rfactors physics working the way he liked. Maybe reason he making his own from the ground up. Hope he does well with it.

It's like someone pored oil on the track then whipped out his camera :D.

This this might be Barry's best review yet :) (and that is saying something mind you)

Depends on what you're looking for. He doesn't even start driving with the wheel until nearly 1.5 hours of talk-talk-talk.

That is true! But indeed that was what I was looking for, not really interested in seeing him drive but more so in his opinions and views on this piece of kit :)

lol get 1700 bucks wheel, first thing to do with it? take it apart to the last screw :-D

First song composed by myself...EVER!

I know it sucks! Still would like to know if you guys think I should continue on this path or maybe you're afraid that someone might die from ear cancer because of me.
I'd especially like to get some tips on how to do better next time or maybe someone has links to some beginner friendly tutorials?

Cover your ears: ;)

If that song was made by mozart or Bach there would be over million people getting boners or something from it, but because it is made by you it feels like some random stuff. But imo there was good moments.

hehe, not quite. :p

Racefreak, if it's something you really want to do you should take some basic music theory. There is tonnes of free stuff on Youtube. Pebber Brown has an entire semester of basic music theory on his channel and it's a good starting point if you want to start writing melodies.

HAHA! Nice but I seriously doubt that. ;)

Thanks Jamie. I'll look into it.

I am a musician and I liked it because I found it to be original and interesting. I was curios to see where it was going. I would encourage you to keep going. One very important thing I recommend to everyone is to take an online tone and rhythm test to make sure you are not tone or rhythm deaf.

Edit - Took a while but found the best test I think ==> tonometric.com

Just finished the tone deaf test with 75%.

I like how one of em try with diffrent settings and tire changes and all that. While the other made a superb first lap :)

Watched it without sound, because music was so loud.... looked like a GoPro advertising video.

There is no music during driving. The content is good and really worth watching, he talks alot during his stints. I highly recomend it!

What's your guess people, why porsche was faster?

My guesses: 4wd, rear wheel steering, Lower center of cravity, more controllable power, softer suspension. Racier tyres than thought.

I would still take P1, because lap time doesn't tell that how fun the car is to drive, and i have the impression that p1 is more fun.

No,no! I meant the music from my stereo I was hearing at that time. Don´t wanted to turn it down while whatching! ;)
Yes, will watch it once more with sound today.

Isn´t the P1 4 WD too?
In general 4WD and 4 wheel steering will do a lot regarding stability in turns.

Very nice video. I find it very interesting how these "next gen" hypercars are so different kind of beasts.
Depending on track and conditions, its the fastest which has its strenghts catered the most. Reminds me of how the GT3 series is today.

This video shows exactly how rf2 is amazing.
Specially if you notice the movement of the car and the way it goes trough the bumps, it's exactly how rf2 tries to simulate.
Other thing is the way the driver gets out of the corners, on the first lap he always gets the car to step out because he tries to put the power down too early, on the next lap he is a lot gentle on the throttle and by consequence a lot faster because he is smoother all around the lap.

Great vid. Shows you that TC doesn't equal mash the throttle out of every corner even though it obviously helps.

Have to say that to me it doesnt show ****. If the ride over bumbs in RF2 does it for you, good for you.
