Is there any ways to enhance rFactor1's graphic??

pjy015

Hi.
I'm a lonely gamer playing rFactor1 alone in South Korea.

Lately , I bought three 42"monitors to play rFactor with 3ch view!
But after playing game with my new monitors, I found out a BIG problem..

I felt sick & dizzy after playing a game.

I think the reason is poor anti-aliasing of rFactor1.. It was not problem when i was using a small monitor..
Even in full graphic options , the sparkling of 42"monitor(x3) tortures my eyes..

Is there any way to make rFactor1 's graphic more smoothly?

And thank you for reading my poor english. hahaha.

Not sure if it is rfactor though. I would first look into your monitor setup, check if rf has the same resolution as your screens, see if the screens are setup properly and even experiment with their settings.

The graphics displayed and refreshed can cause motion-sickness, very bad as well. I know of some games whom have a typical graphics-enhancement that can cause this, allot of people suffered from this with Half Life2 for example. But since you did not have this with one monitor I think its not rfactor itself but the setup of how the graphics are displayed.

3rch view = 3D view?
maybe that's the culprit

Edit: it can also just be a case of letting your eyes/brain get used to the new setup.
move your eyes away from the screen and focus on a set-point every now and then, just for a second of two.

Are you plugged into the TV with an hdmi cable, or into a computer (15-pin) input on the TV?

The reason I ask is because most TV's have circuitry to smooth out (or process) the signal .......... which will cause some input delay .......... so what you see has a slight delay to it and can be the cause of some motion sickness.

This circuitry can either be turned off in the TV's advanced settings, and/or will not be used if the signal comes into the TV through it's computer input.

Also, have you turned down the motion(or head movement) in either your Display Settings and/or in your .PLR file?

Look for "enbseries plugin" there are settings for rF1 also flying around

I'm also running triple 42" screens and if I may offer some advice I'd recommend you to use the following on nVidia Inspector (or on whatever similar tool for AMD if that's your case):

Antialiasing mode - Override application settings
Antialiasing setting - 32xCSAA 8 colour + 24cv samples
Antialiasing transparency multisampling - disabled
Antialiasing transparency supersampling - 8xSparse Grid supersampling
Antiscopic filtering mode - user defined/off
Antiscopic filtering setting - 16x
Texture filtering negative LOD bias - clamp
Texture filtering quality - high quality

Additionally, even if you're plugged using HDMI you might want to check your TV options to see if it offers some kind of "PC Mode" as you should turn it on if your TVs offer it.

This is my rig under those above mentioned settings:

rFactor still looks very pretty if you ask me!

Cheers ;)
