Hello, I am a very much latecomer to r-factor (haven't played racing games on the PC for quite a while, used to race GPL to give you an idea), I have recently downloaded the demo to try it out and was about to purchase the activation when I noticed that among the DVDs of my newly bought G27 there was an r-factor/logitech DVD
I quite happily thought that this might be the full game but on start-up it still asks for activation: is this an issue with me having installed the demo first (I uninstalled before installing the DVD) or is the version in the box just the same as the one I d/loaded?
Googling the only thing I saw was that the G27 contains an r-factor version 'modified to use the LEDs on the wheel' (which it surely does), is this a 'special' version of some sort or does it just contain some mod?
Basically all I'd like to make sure of is
- I wouldn't want to buy an activation if I already have the full DVD version (obv.)
- I wouldn't want to use an 'ad-hoc' version that would prevent me from racing online if it would cause incompatibilities
sorry for the nooby question again, it's been a long time since I could race online on PC and I am quite excited to be able to get back into it.
