Matchmaker Service

For several weeks now members at our online racing service Race2Play have been getting problems with the rFactor Matchmaker service, such as:

1. No servers listed despite literally tens & tens of refresh attempts by several people all trying to get into an R2P server for a scheduled race.

2. No specific race server listed although R2P confirm it is up & running.

3. Matchmaker not available messages which only sometimes can be cleared by either an rF restart or a PC reboot.

4. When joining the grid for the race session there are no other cars showing to anybody, until the timer just about runs down, when it then restarts at 30 secs along with a "Synchronising" message and all the cars magically appear.

Race2Play tell us that there are no problems with their servers and that it is an ISI issue!?

To be honest I was surprised not to find any mention here of these problems, having said nothing in the expectation that the problems would eventually "go away".

Can ISI confirm or otherwise if there have/are ongoing issue with the Matchmaker service or any other problems that would cause the difficulties listed above?

We are still having problems with Matchmaker. Is nobody else using rFactor these days and having these problems??
 
This has been causing havoc with the Australian racing community too. We also had the assumption that this was a known issue and ISI were working on it. I know they would prefer everyone to go to rF2 but rF1 is still going strong here.

The problem seem to happen most when there are people in the server you are trying to find, empty servers are much easier to find.

My guess is that when the Steam server integration was done, there was an unseen error which is causing this. I am not sure if the time-lines match exactly but I can't see any other reason for ISI to mess with a matchmaker service which was working quite well. I hope this is fixed soon, it is causing our racing nights to run quite late due to restarting races when people drop out in warm-up and can't find the server, not to mention lower numbers too.
 
Our league is having the same problem, we can have 3 or 4 members in the server already, but others cant find it. After everyone has left the server and tried to re-join, no one can see the server.
So after i close the server down then re launch it, it still cant be seen. But what has been working lately is closing the server then re-naming it with something different and Bingo, everyone could see it and join.
Happens every second weekend or so. (Normally race on Sundays).
 
You can use the "Join by IP" option (Blue Button up top) if they can get the matchmaker lobby to open..our rF1 league has been having the same issue for over a month..
 
Obviously ISI could care less about rFactor 1. I feel sorry for all those poor schmucks who just purchased it from steam. ISI refuses to inform anyone about this problem. I sent a support request email months ago and got no reply. I sure I'm not the only one who has asked about this BS problem and got ignored. I'm moving my league to game stock car for now and based on the lack of response from ISI I will not be going to rFactor 2 .
