F12002 The 2002 version for GT

I never did much F1 with it. I purchased it to get the SIMBIN GT mod. Built on that solid base .t got me to GTR and GTR2.

A few years ago I dug out all the files and found a very promissing mod. I don't think we will see another one like this.

Yeah that mod was superb. It's funny how the whole open nature of ISI sims only came about by accident. Gjon told me that they did have all their physics locked up until EA took over Westwood:

After that, they got an extension on development. Only Command & Conquer and SCGT continued development. Everything else was cancelled. The extra few months they had they made it easier for them to make final tweaks so they moved parameters out of the exe into text files... Moddable text files. The rest is history.

I do have the GT mod by SIMBIN, by the way. :) I'll upload it at some point.
 
I have those files too and a bunch of community fixes and improvements.

Not all in a proper order, of course :roll:

I wonder if todays simmers will be able to do the same in 20 years.
