Track Making Problem

Daveybird

Hey guys.

My track works fine, only one thing:

The AI pits waaay too early. I'm working on a Dirt Oval, so they should hardly pit at all.

I'm not as familiar with rFactor track making as I am with NASCAR Heat track making, so can someone please tell me the parameter or something that controls AI pit stops?

There is line in AIW for estimating AI fuel usage. Reduce that value and check in the garage the number of lap estimation when you define initial fuel.

Very likely to be your problem

Do I raise or lower it? It started at zero, I raised it, and thought it worked for awhile, but apparently it didn't. I remember that might be the issue. My cars are starting on empty. Does it need to be high or low to decrease AI pitting?

I already specified that it needs to be reduced

Okay. I think I figured out the problem. They were pitting too much on my Tacky track, but not the Slick version. So what I theorized was that the AI were probably pitting because of excessive contact due to higher grip. I then spread the AI out more (lower AIDraftStickiness, more of a difference between Best/Mid/WorstAdjust), and they were better!
