Graphics card issues

Finally some news: While the new drivers from nVidia were pushed back to later this month, I was able to find a beta version released by Zotac which stems off the branch that will be released soon, and this beta version finally fixes the corrupt graphics for me!

You can find the downloads in this thread.

As always with beta drivers, monitor the temperatures carefully.

Jorgen I regret to inform that the problem continues. less than before. but continues. :(

@Nodo: That's unfortunate. Here are a few things you could try:

1) Make sure your DirectX is updated to the latest release.
2) Make sure your graphics card runs the latest available BIOS.
3) Disable rFDynHUD.

If the problems still persist, can you post details on which mods and tracks you were using in those screenshots?
Also, which manufacturer is your graphics card from?

Hi Jorgen, I have the same problem of artifacts., with FSONE 2009 ...

Note that text is being translated into English by translators google (speaker spanish)

Hello Jorgen uninstall the beta 270.51 driver.

At first I worked well 20 car (MOD F1RFT 2010 MP v1.0) so good. com before more than 12 Car or more texture error. The 270.51 driver is the micro stutter are more significant (for this reason the you uninstall).

If you want I can install over again. for testing you want.
A part of the list (post up) up and want to do other tests?

A greeting and thank you for your cooperation

Was in the works of installing the 270 beta driver, but windows said its not a good idea, my rig might stop working properly etc etc. Something about not windows not supporting it. I chickened out and aborted.

If it's the message saying that the driver has not passed Windows Quality Testing, it can be ignored. nVidia official beta drivers are usually very similar to a WHQL certified driver, it's the final small bug fixes that differ. Beta drivers found elsewhere, or drivers with modified .inf files should be used with more care though.

Hmm, i wanted to buy Nvidia gtx 560ti before i read this and some other threads. But now......, so many possibilities for trouble in game i play most. Amd then.

They work fine for me on WinXP. I haven't noticed any difference from the 270.51 betas in terms of image quality or FPS.

Fix error texture

@Nodo: So you're saying it fixed the corrupt graphics, but you feel the FPS is too low, is that correct?
What settings do you use in the nVidia control panel, in rFConfig and in the in-game display configuration?

[04:30:22 PM] Mohemed Arshad: I have mentioned that your card is defective, updated drivers and software wont fix this
[04:30:31 PM] Mohemed Arshad: so please replace the card

This is what I was told?

To clear up some confusion:

1) The corrupt graphics experienced on Windows XP is fixed by the 270.61 drivers
2) There was never any corrupt graphics on Win7 as far as I know, not even with pre-270 series drivers.

If you feel that your FPS has become worse after upgrading to the 270.xx drivers, I suggest you report this to nVidia. They have a driver feedback page for such things, as well as a user-to-user forum which is really good.

As far as I'm concerned, the WinXP graphics corruption issue is fixed. If you still see corruption, please report it to nVidia using one of the first two links above.

Sorry, no those drivers did not fix it for me

Then I suggest you report it as a bug, otherwise it will never be fixed. What card model and brand do you have by the way?

sorry to say, but the latest drivers (270.61) havnt helped on every mod and track.
Thruxton with F1 1971 with only 10 drivers and it went bonkers.

Instead of just saying "it doesn't work", can you please post your hardware specs? (Particularly model and brand of the graphics card) It would be interesting to see if there is a pattern somehow...

WinXP SP3, Palit GeForce GTX460 1024MB, 270.61 drivers. The box has a "Sonic overclocking edition" on it.
1440x900 antialas x4, DirectX 9.0
It was strange that i got through practice and qualy sessions without any problems, but once session change to warmup it went bonkers. Tryed reducing stuff for race but didnt help so hade to abort out.

I have narrowed it down to the 3d9d.dll file from Wombats Nvidia FPS fix. Did a clean install and as soon as this file is added I get the distortion, it does improve the fps but corrupts the graphics.

@Jouni: Do you have a d3d9.dll file in your rFactor folder? (There are some add-ons that put it there, for instance TV Style)

well, i have 6 different installs, but the only place i find something like that is in the Support folder, under DiretX / Install / Winrar pack called "April2006_d3dx9_30x64" and a "........30x86"
but they havnt been opened, unrar anywhere.

No file of that name in the rFactor folders. None of my 6 installs are rF lite ones either. I dont use/install none of the fancy add ones, TV style etc. I do use real feel and leo plugin though.
