Jules Bianchi hurt at Suzuka

It is indeed very sad.

It alsoappears that the Japanese GP has have been run with higher risks than European GPs to conform to TV schedules. It is run later at a time of year when daylight fades quickly . In 1977 when Hunt defeated Lauda it was in shocking conditions to meet TV expectations and Lauda as we know stopped for safety reasons.
In 1994 Brundle had a very near miss that would have been similar to Bianchis crash had he been a few feet different in his trajectory. Rain, late in the afternoon, waved yellows, yellow recovery vehicle.

Its about 20 years too late thet the race is scheduled to start a little earlier in the day.
It doesnt help poor Jules but it was an accident waiting to happen and better decisoins could have prevented it.

Some good points and observations there, David.

R.I.P Jules...
I'd hoped against all odds, he would recover...this is absolutely sad.

This is a sad, sad day..... Rest in piece Jules!!!

I'm curious how the f1 drivers will pay tribute in hungary (can't imagine they won't do a thing)

He is resting in peace now, my condolences go to his parents, his brother and sister and to his friends.

Absolutely devastating... no words...
I wish that his family will find the strength to get through this loss somehow.

Rest in peace.

Rest in peace Jules. Show must go on, and you have shown what a inspiring character you were.

Many drivers will probably carry his number somewhere on their car or racing suit.
I'm also certain there will not be a podium champagne spray and it will be respectful of his passing.
I really liked this guy's personality.
Anybody have a copy of his sit-down interview at Monaco with Will Buxton?
He seemed so 'grounded' and humble.
He was 'over-the -moon' just to have his family attend and watch the race near his homeland.
It hurt like heck to lose him...or any other driver.
He was destined for great things in this sport.

RIP Jules... like everyone, I hoped for a recovery but as time went on it seemed this wasn`t going to be the case...

So sad...

:(

I allways follow the 'minidrivers' and they made a nice tribute!!! The ending made me cry
