rFactor Better FFB Tutorial

I think he means your sensitivity as in rotation.. at 900° it spreads the forces out. at 360° the forces are stronger and could cause the anomalies you are detecting.

Hi zeos!

I have a big problem with FFB and I don't know what to do. I am competing to run the 24 hours of Lemans where no plugins are allowed to be used. I have been using your recommendations for years with great results. However when I yesterday removed these plugins, FFB turned into a piece of crap.
Can you recommend me some decent settings to play w/o leo and realfeel?
I have a G27 and the mod is the enduracers prototypes.

..... Maybe just shut the whole lot off. All the FFB. It may be less distracting then the ****ty default FFB.

Set everything to default, including Logitech profiler, then reduce FFB strength and put on LOW in game. Just experiment until the strength is ok. You just want to feel the grip effects not the fake stuff. No other solution really.

I already tried and major problem seems to be fixed. However the loosening of the wheel when grip is lost is almist negligible. Which parameter should I change to increse the loss of grip effect?
The inertia of the car seems ok

Well there in lies the problem. This tutorial is for getting the feel that rF1 doesn't have. So unless you start messing with your actual car setup you may not be able to fake it in.

Your problem is this in LEO.ini

-11500.0 maximum FFB force for stationary and low speed effects

Has to be a negative figure and the rest positive if your wheel does not do like a real vehicle and stay in place.

Then I went to my Realfeelplugin.ini and if its needed you use (ctrl+8) to reverse feed back.

And if for some odd reason realfeelplugin turned itself off use (ctrl+2)

Oh, when everything is working then go to LEO.ini and turn up or down the stiffness of stationary wheels to whatever figure you like. The default is 10.0

Your Welcome! xD

Hello together,

in the last month I was using the "Realfeel" and LeoFFB” Plugin and the LeoFFB Tuner together with the F1RFT2012 Mod with an acceptable level of rattle just in case I went off the track.
Unlikely I can’t get it working – have already in the garage a really strong vibrations - with other Mods we are currently testing for the next racing season in our league. The Mod’s we are testing are all enabled for RFE PlugIn Series (e.g. WCP 2013 1.3, F1RS2013, F1 2013 RMT,…).

Both copying the configuration files from the F1RFTMod and doing an installation from scratch (like described at the top of this thread) and did not work out.

I would appreciate if one of the experts could have a look into the attached configuration files – any advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

HI
i spend two days now in setup the realfeel i will go mad it is wont work at all no any sound tell me realfeal is enabld. i was driveing with realfeal before but i have 2 uninstall rfactor and re install it i did every thing but no use.......
1-my qwestion is is there any thing makes real feel enabled or not except right ctrl2 ?
when i modify controller.ini what i do copy past or re wright it by keyboard ?

not i am using dashmeterpro and g27 LED plugin thanx

The newest realfeel doesn't say when it is enabled only when it is disabled. I imagine the creator hearing it 1,000,000 times got annoyed and removed it completely.

hello, I come to you today because I've completely lost my ffb after reinstalling my system. I tried with multiple profiles, with or without RealFeel and nothing changes: zero effects ffb ingame. My T500RS worked perfectly before this reinstallation (I have a hdd that burned in). Ingame, nothing tells me RealFeel is loaded, and press ctrl +2 but nothing changes.
4 days I test plr, profiles and controller.ini, I reinstalled the game and my system, nothing to do ... it does not work, no ffb ...

Anybody have idea plz ?

Make sure the plugins are all where they are suppose to be. Also try your T500 on another game. See if you get FFB at all.

Hi all....have a bit of a problem with rfactor and my G25.
Real-feel was working and felt generally ok then I installed F1LRCLUB-VCR 2013 v2.0 Final.
Now,when I drive, the wheel vibrates it's head off quite badly.
Wondering if there is any setting or .ini file I can edit to rectify this problem short of re-installing rfactor?

Is it only when you drive the F1LRCLUB-VCR 2013 v2.0 mod or with all mods/cars?

When it's only at the FILRCLUB (i don't use Real-Feal, so i don't know how it works), maybe it helps when you choose a lower FFB-level over the upgrades of the cars. Default setting is 4 i guess.

I will try F1LRCLUB-VCR 2013 v2.0 with real feel disabled.
I believe it can be disabled by the H key.

The F1 mods real-feel setting obviously over writ my previous .ini. I'll keep you guys posted.
When real-feel is set up right with the specific mod it really can feel fantastic.

Disabled real-feel by removing the RealFeelPlugin.dll. Did get better but still no working. Anyone with a G27 willing to share his LeoFFBl.ini RealFeel.ini and in-Game controller settings?

Can anyone help me ? Just installed this step by step, but when i go into the car my G27 just goes all over the places by it's own. It's something with the realfeel since i tested to remove leo and it was still there.

Is it pulling all the way left or right? If so the FFB is reversed. I would set the rf ffb in-game to -100 and try that.

I tried doing forum and google searches for this, but haven't found anything. I have RealFeel and Leo plugins installed. My problem is the wheel oscillates violently when car is sitting still and somewhat when driving straight. I read about changing "FFB steer force neutral range" and "stiffness of stationary wheels" in Leo.ini, but that hasn't done anything. I am using a Logitech Momo wheel. It happens with multiple mods.

The old momo may not be getting enough updates. If you disable real-feel with Num 2 and only leo's is left does the oscillation continue?

First of all I want to thank you Zeos and Techade for your efforts to inform us all with the best settings for rFactor and get everybodys ffb working. But I am recently starting with RFP/LEO and it still is confusing, reading your same subject (for hours) on several threads on different forums with different downloads, settings, realfeels, leo's, questions, tips etc...

And today you answered on this thread so I would like to ask you Zeos: what would be the correct realfeel/leo's dll's and ini's with which date that I best can use or do you perhaps want to share the latest download link here? Because I found several in this thread, several on rfactor, nogrips etc and all the information is a bit overwhelming. I am using a Logitech Momo red by the way which have 280 degrees of rotation and the HistorX and DRM mods seem to be my favorites (and a bit F1), any advice/tips on that?

greetings,
Frank

Turned off real-feel and yes oscillation is still there. So it's Leo's fault? I should just finally cave in and get a G27.

You should. Everyone respected the Red momo.. But with modern stuff it just can't get it done.

Try it. I haven't had to repair a setup in a while. You may have to re-enable some things in the Controller.ini`

That thing is fron the leo ffb not the wheel, i get that in my g27 also, if i go to 100% real feel it does not happen anymore on most of the cars, but there are some that do that still. I dont mind it that much to look a lot for solutions, but i will someday

Hi had the same thing after allot of messing about while getting familiar to all the different plugins and ini file configs. as fairly new to rfactor, all i did was set ffb to +100 in game was at -100. then just adjusted using the reel feel key in game if ffb was reversed. It instantly stopped the wheel oscillating in pit and when driving hope this helps. Seemed like both FFB we're working against each other when it was the other way round. I am using a T500rs btw. Also using Zeos latest files from post above.

Hi more on configuring my T500.
After allot of playing with different settings in controller.ini, reel feel and Leo's ini file.
I have come to the conclusion that some mods won't work well with it mainly F1 mods. So after days of trying to get a happy medium with reel feel. I have no gone back to the T500 profile ini from thrustmasters site.
My main problem was the shaking of the wheel in pits and on straights. some mods felt lovely, Mainly the endurance mods and Porsche mods. Quite happy with how I have got the setup now. Hope this helps and pos saves someone few days trying to get reel feel to work well with all mods.
If anybody has managed it I would love to hear how.

The geometry of the F1 cars is likely the cause. Since RealFeel is reading off the stresses of the front end and leos is doing tire stress F1 cars are just an overload of info.

Thanks for reply thought it would be something that was different. Learnt allot by trying.
Now to have fun playing it, just split my rfactor to 6 installs got one for F1,Endurance,Touring and so on. had to do something Rfactor was at 130GB lol.

hi guys, I'm new to FF wheels.
I've just purchased a Thrust F430 and I tried RealFeel yesterday on a real F1 race for the first time. It gave me shivers man. 60 laps full on! Great job indeed, plugin is genious!
May I kindly ask you how to fine-tune auto centering capability and/or if an owner of a same wheel model has further experience of using it in the past with this brilliant plugin? I mainly drive modern F1 mods.

Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. :)

F1 is harder to get right with realfeel because of all the geometry on an F1/open wheel.

Hi been playing again managed to get reel feel feeling great in few F1 mods so far.
I downloaded new 1982 F1 LE v 092 mod used all reel feel settings with updated Ui that let's u adjust more FFB settings like jolt etc.
Happy with T500 setup so far Got quite a few F1 mods cars to test
Changing all mod to use HD interface see how it goes
Keep you posted
Simon
